Poetry, in the time frame of the frame of the 60s and 70s, flourished like the bufflaoes, but has virtually vanished from popularity with the American public. Yet, today there are still herds of buffaloes throughout the nation, and like the buffalo, poets and poetry survive through small presses and poetry societies.
