Thirty short meditations that combine scriptural references to creation, theology, reflections on nature, and the threats to the natural world. Each is a snapshot that presents only one aspect of the holy mystery who creates, indwells, redeems, vivifies and sanctifies the whole world. One or another may catch the reader's interest in a particular way. Taken all together they mount something of a panoramic view of the living God who loves the earth and accompanies all its inhabitants in their living and their dying with the intent to save, having particular care for those who suffer from ecological and social injustice. The aim is to open up an angle of vision so that when anyone says the word 'God, ' a picture of the earth enfolded with divine affection reflexively comes into view, along with whatever else one is thinking, teaching, preaching, arguing, or praying about. No God without earth! No Creator without creation! No Singer without her song!
